Summer Reading Challenge

Miss Dibb’s assembly launched the Summer Reading Challenge that begins soon for all pupils! About the Summer Reading Challenge…– A reading challenge that all children can take part in from July – September– Completely FREE to join– Our nearest local library is at Café West, Allerton– Encourages children to read over the summer holidays– Ensures they are ready for their next year group– Sets the children a goal with lots of rewards for reading– Class, year group and house prizes to be won in school– Start date: Saturday 6th July– End date: Saturday 14th September Head to Café West from Saturday 6th July to collect your free booklet and get started! School Council visit City Hall

The school council had a brilliant morning at City Hall in Bradford!They learnt about what public services are as well as how decisions are made for Bradford.They even got to go into the Council Chamber where all the local decisions are made!They learnt about what the role of a councillor is and had a tour of the fascinating building.Well done to everyone who went on the trip.They all represented Beckfoot Allerton brilliantly!
