Board of Trustees

The Trust has one Board of Directors/Trustees with a skill-set covering school improvement and commercial effectiveness. 

The Board ensures schools are held to account and realise the benefits of scale that come from working in partnership.

The Beckfoot Trust Board, the Members of the Company and Committees are responsible for ensuring its compliance with Corporate and Charity legislative requirements.

Local School Committee

The main duties of the Local School Committee are to:
  1. Taking responsibility for challenging the Headteacher to account for ensuring the following areas are a priority of school life
  • Educational standards
  • Health and safety audits and key data/information
  • Safeguarding local protocols, audits and data
  • Effective community and family engagement
  • Staff engagement, welfare and wellbeing
  • Student engagement, welfare and wellbeing
  1. Be aware, of understand and advocate for the school’s progress
  2. Consider and monitor the local implementation of Trust policies and protocols
