Y4 visit Royal Armouries Museum

Year 4 visited the Royal Armouries museum in Leeds to follow up on their history topic of the Romans. The children attended workshops and enjoyed becoming Roman and Iceni soldiers for the day, learning the Latin names of weapons and the techniques used. The teachers also got to take part in some fun axe throwing as the children shielded themselves in a tortoise formation! Everyone enjoyed walking around the museum and reading about the weapons and armour of battles across the world, from the many different time periods. The children absolutely loved it!
