To support our learning, Year 1 had a fantastic visit to Eureka, a science museum in Halifax. We explored the little world at Eureka, which had its own post office, bank, shop and electric car garage. We really enjoyed playing at being shop keepers, printing our own money and even solving codes to open the bank vaults! We were treated to a show all about our 5 senses, in which we got to smell some lovely smells (and some yucky ones!) and identify some objects when blindfolded. In the all about me section, Zoom the AI robot taught us about the human body. We had great fun measuring ourselves, pretending to be dentists and midwives and even brushing a giant set of teeth! The children behaved brilliantly and had an excellent day exploring and learning at Eureka.
