On Wednesday 7th May, award-winning poet, Matt Goodfellow visited our school! He inspired us with his creativity, determination and poems. Matt shared details about his life and how he became a poet, showing us that poetry can come anytime, and from anywhere! Whether you write about a squirrel in your garden, a person you know or a fantasy character, poetry is ‘rebel writing’ and we can all do it!
Year 5 and Year 6 had special writing workshops with Matt, supporting them in unlocking their poetry mind and creating something truly unique with their own voice. More photos are on Class Dojo stories too!
