On Monday, we held two assemblies: one for KS1 and the other for KS2 all about the NSPCC ‘Speak Out, Stay Safe’ programme. We met Ant & Dec as well as Buddy the Speech Bubble along with some friends from the NSPCC. The children learnt about the different types of abuse and that any abuse is not ok. We discussed who our trusted adults were in school and out of school. We also learnt about ChildLine and that children can call them any time confidentially if they are worried about something. Children can ring 0800 1111 and speak to a counsellor.
We are looking forwards to the NSPCC coming into school in a few weeks to do their workshops!
