To support our learning in history and science, Year 1 had a fantastic visit to Eureka, a science museum in Halifax. We explored the little world at Eureka, which had its own post office, bank and M&S. We really enjoyed playing at being shop keepers, printing our own money and even solving codes to open the bank vaults! We were treated to a show all about Space, when we saw a live rocket launch experiment and learnt all about the planets orbiting the sun. In the All About Me exhibit, Zoom the AI robot taught us about the human body. We had great fun measuring ourselves, pretending to be dentists and midwives and even brushing a giant set of teeth! The children behaved brilliantly and had an excellent day exploring and learning.
