Cycle 2: Week 12 Assembly

This week we are taking part in Neurodiversity Celebration Week.  We have learnt about how some people’s brains think differently and that some of these different ways of thinking have been given names.

We have looked at ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia and Tourettes. We looked at barriers people may have to their learning and then the particular strengths too.

We watched a video of Lewis Capaldi and how his fans helped him to finish singing his song when he was struggling with his Tourettes. We decided that it’s always best to be kind and how kindness can make someone’s day.

As a school, we made a promise to be kind to everyone: never make fun of someone who is struggling and to recognise unique talents.
